Akai has just released firmware 2.9 for the MPC line

and it includes a new plug in...DRUM SYNTH

 

 

 

Roland just released the TR-6S...a smaller battery powered

version of the powerful TR-8S...including FM & sampling . 

 

I am excited about  a deep dive into these over the winter.
